Refund and Returns Policy

At SoftCodeX LTD, we strive to provide high-quality software and automation services. Because we deal primarily with digital products and custom engineering services, our refund policy is designed to be fair to both the client and our development team.

Digital Products (Scripts, Scrapers, and Plugins)

Due to the nature of digital software and source code, which can be copied and saved, we do not offer “change of mind” refunds once the product has been downloaded or the license key has been activated.

  • Eligibility for Refund: We only grant refunds for digital products if the software is proven to be “critically defective.” This means the software does not perform the core functions advertised on our website.
  • Reporting Period: You must report any technical defects within 14 days of purchase.
  • Fix-First Policy: Before a refund is issued, our technical support team must be given the opportunity to fix the issue or provide a workaround. If we cannot fix a verified defect in our software within 7 business days of your report, a full refund will be issued.

Custom Software & ERP Development

Custom development services, including bespoke ERP systems and automation logic, are billed based on labor and expertise.

  • Milestone Payments: Most custom projects are split into milestones. Once a milestone is approved and paid for, those funds are non-refundable as they represent hours of work already completed.
  • Project Cancellation: If you wish to cancel a project mid-way, you are responsible for paying for all work completed up to the date of cancellation. Any “pre-paid” milestones for work not yet started may be eligible for a refund, minus a 10% administrative fee.

Third-Party Platforms (Fiverr & Upwork)

If you have hired SoftCodeX LTD through a third-party marketplace such as Fiverr or Upwork, the refund and dispute process must be handled through that specific platform.

  • We adhere strictly to the Terms of Service of those platforms for any contracts initiated there.
  • Refunds approved on those platforms will be processed according to their specific financial timelines.

    Third-Party Website Changes (Scrapers)

    For web scraping software, please note that we are not responsible for changes made by the target website (the site being scraped).

    • If a target website changes its layout or security (e.g., Cloudflare) after your purchase, this is not considered a “defect” in our software.
    • In such cases, we offer update services for a fee, but no refunds will be issued for the original purchase.

    Refund Process

    If your refund is approved:

    • Payment Method: The credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (PayPal, Stripe, or Bank Transfer).
    • Timeline: Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take 5 to 10 business days for the funds to appear in your account.
    • Late Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again, then contact your credit card company or PayPal. There is often a processing delay before a refund is officially posted.

    Sale Items

    If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at {email address}.

    Sale items

    Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Items purchased during a sale, or using a promotional discount code, are final sale and non-refundable unless they are technically non-functional.

    Exchanges

    As our products are digital, we do not “exchange” items. However, if you purchased the wrong version of a script or scraper by mistake, please contact us before downloading the file, and we may be able to swap the product for the correct version.
